Before you go: transport to Sai Kung
Sai Kung has no direct MTR connection. Road transport options include green minibus 1 from Telford Gardens and green minibus 1A from Choi Hung. Journey times vary considerably with traffic. Planning tip: aim for an early arrival on busy weekends; arriving around 9 am can give you more flexibility. This does not guarantee parking, short queues or particular seafood availability.

- 9 am Arrive in Sai Kung and pick up breakfast or snacks near the town centre.
- 9:30 am If including Kau Sai Chau, confirm the intended landing and return service first. Do not assume the Jockey Club ferry provides access to your chosen beach; golf-course and village transport arrangements are different.
- 10 am–noon Consider Whisky Beach only after independently confirming access, sea conditions and supervision arrangements. Otherwise, keep the morning on the waterfront or choose a managed beach with confirmed access.

12:30–5 pm | Seafood lunch and Sai Kung town
- 12:30 pm Return to town for seafood. If buying ingredients separately, agree the cooking charge, portion sizes and any minimum charge with the restaurant before purchasing.
- 2 pm Explore the town's small shops and stop for ice cream.
- 3 pm If the weather, tide and return sailing allow, take a kaito ferry to Sharp Island. Confirm the current return fare and final boat. View the tombolo from a safe position; do not cross if the tide is covering it.
- 5 pm Return to Sai Kung with a margin before your onward journey.

Choose self-guided rental or an instructor-led trip to suit your experience and available time. Pick one water activity, then plan a meal and a town walk around your return time. A morning kayak session followed by a separate afternoon SUP session is optional, not a requirement.
Choice A | Paddle together in one double kayak
For paddlers who want to plan their own outing and have checked their ability and route with the operator. Kayarine charges rental by equipment: one double kayak accommodates two people. Paddles, life jackets and a basic pre-departure safety briefing are included; an instructor does not accompany you throughout. Optional extras such as snorkelling-mask hire cost extra.
Current full-day double-kayak rental is HK$200 per kayak on weekdays excluding public holidays, or HK$300 on weekends and public holidays. The total for two people is therefore HK$200 or HK$300. You can paddle in the morning and have a meal or explore town afterwards. Rental opening hours are 09:00–17:00; follow the collection and return instructions in your booking confirmation and on site. Using the equipment for only half a day still incurs the full-day rental rate.

The shared Sharp Island kayak and snorkelling tour is priced per person: HK$550 per adult × 2 adults = HK$1,100 in total. This includes the kayak, paddles, life jackets, snorkelling equipment and instructor. No separate double-kayak rental fee is needed. Bring your own lunch and drinking water.
The activity lasts about 5.5 hours, with published hours of 10:00–15:30. This is a shared-tour price, not a private charter for two. Confirm the date, group arrangements, participation requirements and meeting instructions. Snorkelling locations and the itinerary may change with tides, weather and conditions. Afterwards, leave time for a meal or a town walk if you have the energy.
